What is Clutter?
Clutter is
anything we don't need, we dont want, or we
dont use.It takes our time, energy and
space. It can be anything from clothes we no
longer wear, old papers, broken or unused toys,
or gifts we dont like. This clutter is
usually in piles on furniture, wedged into
drawers, thrown in boxes, neatly stacked or
packed away in storage.
Clutter
seems to have a life of its own, it multiplies
without any effort on our part. Clutter is
overwhelming and is usually a source of pain and
uncomfortableness.
Despite
this pain, we are scared to throw things away. We
think we might need it, we might be able to fix
it, or one day we might fit into it again. We
don't want to be wasteful or ungrateful.
Although
we may cling to our clutter, what we really want
are surroundings of beauty, order, serenity; a
balanced life; and harmonious relationships.
